Oh hey! We’re the Harpers!

Hey friend! I’m Marshé and this is my husband Gabriel and we’ve been together since 2020. We both went to Frostburg State University where he actually asked me out and I rejected him. Fast forward, now I know it wasn’t our time then to fall in love just yet.

We fell in love during the pandemic and went through the wringer trying to stay connected being essential employees battling safety measures during COVID-19. Through dedication, commitment, and laughter, we made it out safely and happily in love. With no plans on slowing down, we moved from Washington D.C. to Virginia Beach to embark on a new journey together.

We were the only people amongst our social circle that didn’t take “breaks”, had healthy disagreements, and made it to the altar. Rather than shoving the thought of marriage down everyone’s throat, we continued to support our friends through conversations and encouragement that they are deserving of love and WILL find their forever partner. Having a support system that will hold your head high during your darkest moments is something that everyone deserves, and giving healthy and practical advice goes a long way.

This blog is dedicated to the men and women who are seeking tips and advice on relationship health and wellbeing, traveling, and my neighborhood ‘The 757’ (Hampton Roads, VA). Solo dates/trips are nice and all, but having your number one fan and might I add…on deck camera man makes life so much more complete. Sharing memories and blissful moments with the love of life is nothing to take for granted, and I want to inspire you to grasp those moments, take your partners hand, and embark on a journey the two of you can share for the rest of your lives.

I hope you (yes you, the person reading this) can find guidance, encouragement, and inspiration from this blog. I know I’m not old and wise, but having conversations and inspiring others has been a passion of mine I’ve been nervous to seek and pursue publicly and found the confidence to do so. I believe having conversations can change the mindset of others positively, with no one being made to feel silly, inferior, or small-minded.

You are deserving of all things happy, and I pray our love encourages you to find your muse and travel forever.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 (NIV):
“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.”
